Immigration
Hello guys! Today I wanted to talk a little bit about immigrants, and their life in the countries they immigrated to. So, as everyone knows, immigration has advantages and disadvantages, both for the society to which they immigrate and for the immigrant himself.
For society, the advantages are, for example, knowledge of new cultures and new ways of looking at things, this also diversifies local economies and encourages entrepreneurship, and for example there are certain professions that do not want to be filled by national labor, and there is an opportunity for immigrants to fill that vacancy and reduce the gaps that are formed in those labor markets.
The disadvantages are new ways of thinking that may colide, and greater competition for labor, since immigrant labor is cheaper than national labor. Overpopulation is also a disadvantage for society, since immigrants tend to go more to rich countries, with the risk that these will become overcrowded and may cause shortages of goods. Disease transmission can also have a negative impact on the local population who may not be regularly used to being exposed to certain conditions.
For the immigrant himself there are advantages such as more job opportunities and a better lifestyle. There is almost always greater security and protection for immigrants in the country to which they have immigrated. The knowledge of a new culture can also be an advantage for the immigrant, to get to know more things beyond their home country. If they find a good place to work, they gain more experience and better knowledge. Learning a new language can be important for the immigrant, even if it means going to another country to work.

The disadvantages are, for example, adapting to a new culture and environment. This task is always difficult for those who immigrate, because they are used to the culture of their country and it takes them some time to fully adapt. We also have the prejudice that, although some people say no, still exists and is very present in everyday life. Being accepted by society is also a very complicated task for those who immigrate and getting the same rights as all other citizens as well, because although they almost always pay the same amount of taxes, they do not enjoy the same benefits. In my opinion, I think the biggest disadvantage that immigration has, is the form of transportation that they have to use to get to a country so that they can have a better life. Mostly they have to use boats that end up sinking or use means of transportation where they end up being cheated.
